Philodendron Birkin 'Pink Variegated'

Mailed anywhere in the US - or picked up at Above the Dirt Garden Shop.
Light: Bright, indirect light is best. Direct sun can scorch the leaves. However, bright light is necessary to maintain the bright pink coloration.
Water: Allow the top 1 to 2 inches dry out completely before watering again. Staying too soggy will lead to root rot quickly.
Humidity: This plant prefers higher humidity, preferably in a cabinet or near a humidifier.
Temperature: Prefers 65–85°F. Protect it from temperatures below 50°F, frost, and cold drafts.
Growth Tip: Use a chunky aroid mix to ensure aeration to the roots. Repot every 1 to 2 years to ensure adequate growing room. Rotate the plant regularly so it receives even light on all sides. If it starts growing mostly green leaves, giving it brighter indirect light may help encourage stronger variegation.
Why we love it: This plant is a spontaneous ‘sport mutation’ that originally popped up in a tissue culture lab growing the Philodendron Rojo Congo.
